Jamaican Farmers Give Back
Beans were planted in St. Catherine, Jamaica, by a cooperative of 12 farmers. The seeds were a gift from Food For The Poor, an international relief charity that helps feed two million poor people daily. The charity also provided tools, fertilizer, and training. The farmers were inspired to thank Food For The Poor by donating back 20 percent of their crop. Food For The Poor will give the farmers’ donated beans to the Salvation Army Street Feeding Project in Kingston, Jamaica, and other ministries.
