Giovanni Monterroso Biography:

Prior to joining the General NMI Office team in June 2006, Giovanni Monterroso was employed at Sprint, where he worked in the area of customer service and sales. Giovanni is the son of former missionaries Giovanni and Rosmeri Monterroso, who served in Guatemala, Costa Rica, and Honduras.

Giovanni came to the United States in 1995, and earned a B.A. in Religion from Southern Nazarene University. He currently attends Nazarene Theological Seminary, working on a Master of Divinity degree. Giovanni, who speaks both Spanish and English, is called to missions and hopes to eventually return to Latin America as a missionary. He is a member of College Church of the Nazarene in Olathe, Kansas, where he works with the Hispanic ministry.

Giovanni and his wife, Alissa, have an eight-month-old son, Colin. In his free time, Giovanni enjoys taking walks with Alissa and playing with Colin.
